While the Internet of Things enables the connection of Everything to the internet, the challenge remains in determining which applications bring real and positive value. Many parts of the technology are already available today, the question is what benefits such connections bring and are there viable and sustainable business models supporting them. Do we really need to connect our toaster to the Internet?
